Redburn Nursing Home overlooks the main Belfast Road. It is conveniently situated on the outskirts of Ballynahinch. There is a bus stop nearby offering convenience to both residents and visitors. Mature trees and shrubs offer constant bloom to this ideally placed Home. Our residents find it convenient to travel to the nearby library and shops. The local market is an added attraction.

Our person–centred approach to care means that each resident is treated as an individual with respect, dignity and confidentiality. Each resident will have a named nurse and individual care plan which details their specific needs as well as recording any activities that they enjoy together with any cultural or religious beliefs to support their care.
Range of Care
Redburn Nursing Home provides a safe, warm and friendly environment for all our residents. Nursing care is provided for long and short term stay. Medical and surgical convalescence care is facilitated. The terminally ill are nursed in an atmosphere of love, pain if present is effectively controlled. Redburn is an old style house and has two floors. It is registered for frail elderly residents.
Key Care Decisions
The home is under the personal supervision of the home Manager. Attention to detail is paramount, ensuring the dignity, privacy and confidentiality of each resident is maintained at all times. Every effort is made to involve the relative in the care team, where their extensive knowledge and love for their relative can be incorporated into the care plan.

Every effort is made to provide a fulfilling lifestyle. Their potential is maximised by encouraging independence.
Accommodation
All our rooms are tastefully decorated and our residents are encouraged to use the lounge during the day but their need to be alone on occasions, is respected by our sensitive, caring staff. A nurse–call system is linked to each room.

Library facilities are available.
Personal Care
A varied and nutritious menu is available with special dietary needs being catered for. There is daily home baking. Personal laundry services are available. Hairdressing and chiropody is provided at a nominal fee and our residents are helped to attend hospital appointments when necessary. Dental and optical care is also available.
Entertainment
Mental and physical activities are encouraged through individualised diversional therapy programmes. Reminiscence therapy helps reinforce the past and structure the future. Spiritual needs are cared for by weekly and monthly services within the Home.
Visitors
The home operates an open door policy, visitors are encouraged and made welcome.
